How We Work

Selling or buying a home during a life transition doesn’t have to feel unmanageable. We walk families through the process step by step, with both practical support and professional expertise so you can move forward with clarity and confidence.

Many agents focus only on the transaction. We focus on the whole transition including the people, the belongings and the practical details. By addressing what usually overwhelms families, we make it possible to move forward in a way that feels manageable, thoughtful and honest.

Why it Works

Step 1: Listen and Understand

We begin by hearing your story and understanding the home, the history and your goals. Every situation is unique, and the fist step is simply listening.

Questions to consider:

  • What are your priorities: e.g. maximizing price, moving quickly, relieving the burden?

  • What’s holding you back the most: belongings, repairs or just not knowing where to start?

  • How much are you willing to invest in prepping the home for market?

Step 2: Create a Plan

Together, we build a realistic, tailored strategy. The plan balances your timeline, financial goals and the level of support you want throughout the process.

Unique to my approach:

I have deep experience in project management and timelines. I bring that same confidence and skills to real estate, giving you clear tools so we stay on the same page about what to expect and when.

Step 3: Lighten the Load

Many clients feel stuck because of the belongings left behind, the number of repairs waiting to be done, or the sheer weight of beginning. I help make that manageable by coordinating clean-outs, connecting trusted resources and, when it’s helpful, working alongside you to sort and pack items so you don’t have to face it alone.

Unique to my approach:

With hands-on experience in renovation and home repairs, I can personally tackle many small fixes and projects. This not only saves clients money, it also keeps the process moving forward without unnecessary delays.

Step 4: Close the Deal

If you’re selling: Once your home is prepared, I position it thoughtfully in the market, highlighting its strengths and creating demand to maximize your return.

If you’re buying: I guide you through the search and negotiation so you feel confident you’re getting the right home at the right price.

If you’re doing both: I make sure the pieces fit together, so your sale and purchase work in tandem instead of pulling you in different directions.

Step 5: Move Forward

The process ends with clarity. A home is sold, a new space is found and a chapter is closed with confidence. My goal is to help you feel lighter and ready for what comes next.

FAQs

  • Not at all. Together we’ll decide what, if anything, is worth repairing or updating.

  • That’s one of the most common challenges I handle. I coordinate clean outs, connect you with trusted resources and when helpful, I’ll even work alongside you to sort and pack items so you don’t have to face it alone.

  • Every home situation is unique. I belive the commission should reflect the services provided, and I’m committed to being transparent about what that looks like. For some clients that means additional support with belongings, repairs or supporting paperwork to buy a property they’ve already identified. We’ll decide together what makes sense for your situation.

  • That’s completely normal. Many families need time to sort through belongings, consider options or simply feel ready to take the next step. I often provide consultations and support long before a home is listed or a search beings. Through our sister company Second Story transition services, I can help you prepare at your own pace - so when the time is right the process feels much smoother.

Ready when you are.
